Se full versjon : mosquitos!!!!
Wow! it's just full of tem here in Norway! Being from South America, I never thought I would find the most variety of tem in shapes and sizes all the way up here in Norway!!
Everyone had warned me about WINTERS in Norway but...What about summers?? he he
Well, the thing is...I'm allergic to mosquito bites!!!!
What do the breast feeding moms do out there to keep the mosquitos away? I would like to try something natural first, but if nothing works, is mosquito repellent safe while breastfeeding? I searched around and it seems to be safe but I would prefer to avoid chemicals...Any ideas?
PS: I do love the warm weather and sun light, though! ;)
A year ago I found a natural repellent in a store called Nomaden that could be used by babies and while breastfeeding. I searched a bit and didn't exactly find the one I used, but I found this other one:

Maybe it helps? I guess the most important is to avoid DEET repellents (we are not in a malaria area, anyway). Mosquitos bite usually after 5 pm, so covering your arms and legs helps a lot also.
Thanks for the link! I guess it will be long sleeves and long trousers for me this summer! :(
Have you tried garlic(in food or capsules)? They do the trick agianst other little nasties, like ticks. Might be worth a shot :nikker:
(my dad hardly ever gets bitten by anything, but he's a heavy smoker and I wouldn't recommend that to anyone, even if it is a great reppelent)
Fucking mosquitoes, they eat me up! I have about 100-150 of them every summer (not at the same time:glis2:)!
Where do you live. If you're not in Finmark, I don't reccomend it either. This county is famous for it MASSIVE amount of mosquitos, and they are not small either....
Have you all tried Citronella Oil?
I am loved by insects, my blood must be super tasty!
I put 5 drops in the bath, put it in candles when I am sitting outside and burn the oil and also have it in a spray bottle which I use as a repellant.
Does the citronella oil really work?? I'll try to get it, sound like a good alternative...Thanks!
PS: I eat looooads of garlic...and still doesn't work!
The spray on the link I gave you is made from citronella. It does work!
It is brilliant. I would be eaten alive without it.
